Audience Q&A (below, 15 minutes missing)

Please join Senator Mike Johnston, Speaker Mark Ferrandino, Sue Caterall (Gread Education Colorado) and The House District 2 Democrats for an educational forum on Proposed Initiative 22 -- Funding Public Schools.

We will meet at the Decker Public Library, 1501 S. Logan, on Tuesday, August 6th at 6p.m.

This forum is targeted at HD2 activists, but is open to all those interested in supporting the restoration of vital funds for Colorado's public schools. The goal is to help educate individuals and mobilze our ground game as we prepare to help spread the word door-to-door about the benefits of Proposed Initiative 22, Funding Public Schools.

The initiative seeks to restore nearly $1 billion to Colorado's education budget through a two-tiered income tax. The initiative supports the School Finance Act, which passed through the Senate and House in the most recent legislative session. Without the voter-approved tax increase, however, The School Finance Act will be moot.

Senator Johnston has been a leading voice championing education bills in the Colorado Senate, and he will be joined by other panelists to help explain the iniative, the School Finance Act,and our plan for winning at the polls this November.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP to owenperk@aol.com.
